Pearl Client ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Pearl Client (the "Software"), how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using Pearl Client, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Minecraft account information: Your Minecraft username and UUID, obtained via Microsoft/Mojang authentication, to identify you within the Software.
• Pearl Coin balance and transaction history: Records of your Pearl Coin purchases and spending within the Software.
• Hosting data: Your chosen subdomain name and server status, used to operate the pearlclient.com DNS hosting feature.
• Cosmetics and rank data: Your selected capes, rank, and other cosmetic preferences.
• Usage data: Basic, anonymised crash reports and error logs to help us improve the Software. This data does not identify you personally.
• Payment information: We do not collect or store payment card details. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited. See Section 5 for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate you and operate your Pearl Client account.
• Manage your Pearl Coin balance and process in-app purchases.
• Provide and maintain the world-hosting feature and your pearlclient.com subdomain.
• Display your cosmetics (capes) and rank pearl to other Pearl Client users.
• Improve the Software through anonymised error and usage analytics.
• Communicate with you about your account or purchases if necessary.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Other Pearl Client users: Your username, rank pearl, and cosmetics are visible to other users in multiplayer environments as a core feature of the Software.
• Paddle (payment processor): Purchase transactions are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited, who act as Merchant of Record. Paddle's own privacy policy applies to information they collect during checkout.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Pearl Client or others.

5. Payments and Paddle

All purchases of Pearl Coins are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as the Merchant of Record for our products. When you make a purchase, you provide your payment information directly to Paddle — we never see or store your card details. Paddle's Privacy Policy governs the data they collect during checkout.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with our legal obligations. Anonymised usage analytics may be retained indefinitely. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us (see Section 9).

7. Children's Privacy

Pearl Client is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@pearlclient.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the Software or our website. Your continued use of Pearl Client after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
